Dax was never just your average German Shepherd.
Known for his expressive head tilts, goofy faces, and larger-than-life personality, he captured the hearts of people around the world by showing the softer, sweeter, and more playful side of the breed.
Through his adventures online, Dax helped break the stereotype that German Shepherds are only strong, serious protectors. While he was certainly loyal and protective, he was also gentle, affectionate, incredibly expressive, and always ready for a game of frisbee at the beach, a nap on the couch, or a pup cup run.
In late April 2026, Dax passed away after a heartbreaking health battle. Though his time here was far too short, the love he gave and the joy he brought to so many lives will continue to live on through the memories, photos, videos, and stories shared across his social media accounts.
Thank you for loving him alongside us and for continuing to keep his spirit alive.

Finding Dax's littermate sister, Nyla, organically on Instagram in 2022 was so amazing! Nyla's mom saw Dax's birthday post, had a German Shepherd with the same birthday, and saw that we lived not too far away.
Dax and Nyla got to meet in person, hang out a few times a year and even celebrated their 3rd and 4th birthday together.
Sadly, Nyla crossed the Rainbow Bridge in April 2025, just months before their 5th birthday.
We will miss her forever.
